Unity Catalog

Unity Catalog is the governance layer for data and AI built into Databricks. It enforces access control when you query a table or call a model, tracks lineage as assets are used, and logs activity for auditing, across tables, views, volumes, functions, models and other objects organized in a catalog.schema.object namespace.
