Credential Vending

Unity Catalog issues short-lived, scoped cloud storage credentials to external engines that connect through the Unity REST API or the Apache Iceberg REST catalog, so they can read and write tables (table credential vending) and external locations (path credential vending) under Unity Catalog privileges. Engines can authenticate with machine-to-machine OAuth and refresh credentials automatically. Volume credential vending is still in Public Preview.
