Unity Catalog privileges

The Unity Catalog privilege model: object owners, admins and users with the MANAGE privilege grant and revoke privileges such as SELECT, MODIFY and EXECUTE on catalogs, schemas, tables, volumes, functions and models to users, groups and service principals, and the same grants govern the models, tools and MCP services that AI agents use. It is separate from the newer role-based access control (RBAC) feature, in which a user assumes a role so that only that role's permissions apply.
