Lakebase LTAP
AnnouncedLast seen at this status: 2026-06-16·Jun 2026
Lake Transactional/Analytical Processing (LTAP) is a Lakebase storage architecture that serves transactional and analytical workloads from one copy of data. As Lakebase storage writes Postgres data to object storage, it transcodes the rows into columnar Parquet that can be read through open table formats such as Delta and Iceberg, so no CDC or replication pipeline is needed. Databricks delivers LTAP through several Lakebase capabilities that ship on their own schedules, including synced tables, LTAP Direct Writes, Lakehouse//RT queries and Lakebase Change Data Feed.
