Lakebase scale to zero
GALast seen at this status: 2026-01-22·Jan 2026
Scale to zero suspends a Lakebase compute after a set period with no queries or connections, so an idle database uses no compute, and reactivates it within a few hundred milliseconds when a new query arrives. The timeout defaults to 24 hours and can be set from 60 seconds to 7 days, and new Lakebase instances have scale to zero turned on by default.
