Genie file analysis in Unity Catalog volumes
BetaLast seen at this status: 2026-07-23·Jul 2026
Lets a Genie Agent answer questions about unstructured files stored in Unity Catalog volumes, such as PDFs, Word documents, slide decks and images, together with its structured tables in one conversation. File analysis runs in Agent mode, up to 10 volumes can be attached, and the agent always uses the permissions of the user who asks. Content search indexes attached volumes so the agent can draw on passages across many files, and it is turned on and kept in sync automatically for attached volumes.
